Backstops
Tenbusch Inc. designs, fabricates, and manufactures backstops for underground construction applications. The steel and concrete backstop (or thrust wall) is built to withstand movement and force during jacking operations. Specific Tenbusch backstop design features include:
- Distributes force over a large area
- Will not flex under load
- Provides easy alignment of jacking process by using granular fill between backstop and shoring.
Backstops provide ideal thrust restraint for underground applications including tunneling, pipe jacking, pipe bursting, slip-lining, and road boring.
